A garden lover's paradise!

Insideout Garden Visions, 121 NW 2nd St, Corvallis, Oregon, United States

This is my favorite store in all of downtown Corvallis. So many cool gift items for the garden. Lots of good quality plants, too. They have a significant selection of the Crabtree and Evelyn products, too. The staff there are friendly and helpful.

A very charming bridge and lovely walk or bicycle ride in the country

Irish Bend Covered Bridge, Campus Way, Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Irish_bend_covered_bridge_small

If you liked The Bridges Of Madison County (or even if ya didn't) you'll like visiting Irish Bend covered bridge. It is wonderful place to visit and so peaceful out there. It's on the campus of Oregon State but you'd never know it. Lots of trees in the area and a nearby creek, too. The road there is paved so it makes for a comfortable bicycle ride or small hike. I recommend that people bring their own water supply as there are no fountains in the area. Also, bring a camera you'll want to take pictures of the sights along the way in addition to the bridge.

Very pretty walk and bicycle friendly.

Riverfront Commemorative Park, First Street, Corvallis, Oregon, United States

I like going to the Riverfront park as often as possible. I sometimes walk along the river or ride my bicycle. On Saturdays during the Spring and Summer months, the Farmer's Market takes place and I sometimes busk down in that area. It's a pretty vibrant air during that time. Even during the winter months, the river walk can be interesting. If you're a photographer, it's a good place to take pictures of the public art, the flowers and trees, the bridges and of course, the main star, the Willamette River...if you're lucky you'll see the Oregon State rowing team going through their paces. Along the trail there are signs posted where you can learn about Corvallis history and near the bridge, there is an historic marker showing where the first riverboats came to the city. The park is very pet and kid friendly, too.

Very helpful friendly people there and LOTS of good info!

Corvallis Tourism, 553 NW Harrison Blvd, Corvallis, Oregon, United States

I went to the Corvallis Tourism when I first moved to Corvallis in 2001. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and gave me lots of good information on how to make my new town feel more like home. I've been in Corvallis now nearly 9 years and I'll always be grateful to the folks at Corvallis Tourism for getting me off to a good start. I direct people there all the time to get tourism info.

Interzone is awesome!

Interzone, 1563 NW Monroe Ave, Corvallis, Oregon, United States

it's a funky place to go for coffee and pastries. Very arts oriented. They have the occasional poetry gathering and music.
