The McMenamins brothers were among those fearless entrepreneurs who, in 1985, led the movement in Oregon to allow brewers the right to brew and consume in the same location. After a victorious fight at the state capitol, McMenamins opened the Hillsdale Brewery & Public House, Oregons first legal brewpub since Prohibition. Since then, Portland has become one of the premier destinations in the U.S. to enjoy handcrafted microbrews, including those of McMenamins Pubs & Breweries.
McMenamins Corvallis is the oldest of the two McMenamins locations in Corvallis. The location off of 3rd Street follows in McMenamins tradition of decor and menu items. The handcrafted microbrew beers are available on top, as well as seasonal beers and guest beers. Try the Terminator Stout or Ruby, a fruity beer with hints of raspberry.
As for food, make sure to try one of the delicious burgers for lunch or dinner. The Captain Neon burger is topped with mouth-watering bacon and bleu cheese dressing. Burgers come with soup, salad, crispy fries or substitute tater tots.
On warm days, enjoy outside seating. On cold days, enjoy a fireside dinner.
McMenamins Corvallis is sure to have something for everyone, with sandwiches, burgers, salads, delicious soups, and special items. Make sure to check out their desserts!

With its ubiquitous “recycled” locations (old theater, railroad stations etc.) that bring art, music and history to life through nostalgic decor, McMenamins is a quintessential Oregon icon; the two locations (one on 3rd and the other on Monroe) are no exception. The one on 3rd is older and has a "homely" attitude; it's a place where everyone could know your name. Good place for a quiet night on the town or somewhere to converse with friends.
The newer location on Monroe (just off campus) is a bit "posh"
(by McMenamins standards); there is an amazing piece of sculpture that takes up the entire east wall....made of antique sinks that forms a fountain...complete with running water. The campus location also has gigantic tv screens for sports and every Thursday, the radio show BEAVER NATION airs live on location from the second floor of the bar. This is definitely the place to be for Beaver fans and for people watching.
So when you're in Corvallis and you need good beer and good conversation, head to McMenamins!
