Forest History

Starker Forest grows, owns, and manages forests. They are a fourth generation family business that grows and harvests trees while still working to protect the environment. Another exciting aspect of Starker Forest, is that they offer guided and self-guided forest tours. The guided portion is offered from mid-June through September on Wednesdays. Reservations can be made through Corvallis Tourism (541-757-15440) or by calling 1-800-334-8118. This is a great opportunity to educate a classroom or simply provide some interesting information and exercise for a Wednesday afternoon.
