This beach is a little slice of heave that looks to have been pulled directly from the secluded scenes of a Corona commercial. It is one of those places that is so perfect that one hesitates to share it for fear for spoiling the secret. However, this place is too goods to keep to myself plus it has recently been featured as Cooking Light magazine's most beautiful beach in the world and even showed up in a recent issue of Portland Monthly, so I am not the first to share the secret.
The beach is only open to the public between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm but it is worth the trip down the bumpy dirt road. Bring shoes because there are hiking trails up the cliffs which provide even greater views. If you plan to spend the afternoon at Gillins, which is easy to do make sure to pack a lunch or at least some snacks as there are no vendors or opportunities to purchase anything once you pass the Grand Hyatt.
