You'll find plenty of small, affordable works of original art throughout the Pearl from February 3 to March 4, when district galleries sponsor "Bon Bon: Small Bites of Delicious Art." The purpose of the gallery hop, says Amy Caplan, owner of Caplan Art Design (1102 NW 10th; 503.319.6437), "is to get people out and about. If you are an art lover, this is a great opportunity to find great art at affordable prices."
Eleven Pearl galleries and four raffle ticket outlets will participate in "Bon Bon," displaying works by Eileen Kane, Eric Leichty, Nigel Conway and others. Many galleries will be serving wine and chocolates, and all will offer raffle tickets for a chance to win pottery by Kurt Van Vlack and other prizes.

Debbie Thomas Real Estate402 NW 13th AvePortland, Oregon |
Debbie Thomas Real Estate is one of Northwest Portland's leading real estate companies, providing services to principals, tenants, buyers and sellers. Debbie is highly dedicated to the creation of the Pearl District neighborhood as well as creating projects that will be appreciated through the march of time. Debbie and her team consider themselves a resource for the neighborhood and the solution for their clients. Nine licensed agents have earned the company a reputation for a wide range of expertise and knowing the Pearl District and Northwest Portland inside out. In addition to commercial sales and leasing activity totaling over a million square feet, Debbie Thomas Real Estate has marketed and sold over 500 units in the Pearl District valued at over $300 million dollars. Debbie Thomas started her downtown Portland-based commercial brokerage company in 1992. Soon after, she saw a greater opportunity just north of Burnside in Portland's Pearl District and in the Northwest neighborhood surrounding NW 23rd Avenue. This put the company on the ground floor at the beginning of the boom in the Pearl. When developer John Carroll determined that residential lofts were the best use for the Chown Pella warehouse redevelopment in 1995, Debbie was pleased to be invited to develop the marketing and sales strategy for the project. Collaboration with John Carroll now includes Mckenzie Lofts (1997), The Gregory Lofts (2000), The Edge Lofts (2004), The Elizabeth (2005), The Eliot Tower (2006) all mixed-use properties. Marketing and sales services are currently underway on another project by developer Jack Onder: The Westerly. |

Werner Financial Group1129 NW 11th AvePortland, Oregon |
Werner Financial Group focuses on growing and protecting our clients' wealth through financial and estate planning* services. Our clients include companies, individuals and family trusts. We work with clients through all stages of their financial life cycle. In the early stages this often means helping clients accumulate assets through participation in employer sponsored retirement plans. Generally, we provide investment guidance, plan design advice and financial services. Once our clients reach retirement age, our focus shifts to protecting their accumulated assets, and helping ensure that they are appropriately allocated for their retirement income needs. With proper navigation through these stages, clients are then able to utilize the remaining financial resources to plan for their family's legacy through our estate planning and wealth transfer services. |
